I guess the trick is, when you find a layout you like, stick with it. I've sat here for the last hour playin with all kinds of different bckgrounds and layouts, and I ended up going back to the one I started with. I looked at the dark for the last couple of weeks and kept sayin I had to go in and fix it. I didn't like that at all.
So, im not changing it again.

Byzantine Variation Finished project. This is for a friend. She lives in Minnesota, cowgirl, dollmaker. I was goin for a country look, it has a bit of vintage, but thats ok, I think it will go well with her cowgirl boots!!

I have tomorrow off and hoping the sun will shine so I can get on the picture taking project. I have to do pics outside because I just don't have enough of a light source inside. Sunshine is better anyway, so thats my project for tomorrow.

Christmas is almost here so I thought I would share a poem with you. This was composed by Rudyard Kipling. I think it will appeal to all, but especially those animal lovers out there. It's a nice sentiment and sad at the same time.

I Won at The Hive

This has to be the first time I have ever won anything. It is so odd too, or maybe i'm just reading too much into this. My Mom was an avid quilter. Guess what I won.........QUILTING BOOKS. Isn't that awesome.

Thank you so much Beth, my Mom would be incredibly happy about this. She wanted me to learn to sew. She always encouraged my other crafts, beading, cross stitch, drawing etc. She also wanted me to learn stained glass, which I have done so this will be the icing on the cake.

Christmas Spirit

I'm trying very hard to get into the Christmas Spirit. I don't know why i'm having such a hard time with it this year. We put up the same tree with the same ornaments every year. We can't have a real tree anymore because of allergies. The pine stuffs us up so bad. The same old Christmas village.

I'm a little discouraged with my AF shop too. People look but don't buy. I understand the economy SUCKS. So i'm going to do something different there too after the holiday. Until then everything is marked down thirty percent, Actually, I think the scarves are going to http://homelessbridge.blogspot.com/ it's damn cold out.

Well, what i'm going to do is probably going to take till next year but i'm going to start working on it now. I am going to do an all Chain Maille Christmas tree. I will be doing Christmas ornaments all year long, some to sell and some for me.

So thats my plan....

New Projects and love of animals....

Christmas is coming. I am making things for family and building things for my shop. Busy, busy. But today, I would like to introduce a friend from the Hive. Bridget is an animal lover like I am. I have seen a lot of people like this in the Hive. I think it is something about people that work with their hands, whether it's crafting jewelry or knitting or anything. We crafters have a love of animals. I would like to share our conversation and hopefully make a few more people aware of the program that Bridget mentions.
Bridget has 3 rescue horses herself. I think it's a very noble thing to care for an animal.

For every veiwer Animal Plant will make a doantion to this wonderful rescue program!! Good for the people and great for the Bully dogs!! The rescue uses almost 800 dollars a day to keep this program open! Please repost!! Lets watch TV for a good casue :}

How would Animal Planet or any network know how many people were watching a program if the house did not have a box (like Nielson) for interaction?






If they show the pit bull fighting...I do NOT want to see that. It just breaks my heart to see any animal hurt or in pain...and It makes me want to kill each of those vicious ,stupid people who do this to animals.






In the meantime, I am caring for NINE cats/kittens in my house right now...

hmmm Lee I am not sure~~ I suppose the cable companies would know wouldnt they? I dont think they show any of that crap-ie the fighting-It breaks my heart too and just sickens me~I have only seen it once-they tell where the dogs came from and how the paroles care for them and rehab them-I just thought it was a good casue-I love the bully breeds-they are so smart and loving-I cant fathom how people can fight these beautiful animals~grrrrr

They also do this with horses. They get the better behaved paroles to care for them. I think it's a great program for the people and the animals.

It is really awesome when they actually get out and stay on the farm because of the animals. Thats when you really know that the love of an animal is the best medicine.

and its such a major victory when you win the love of an injured soul! I have done rescue for almost 17 years-it wears on you but the wins are huge :}

Wire Wrapping

This is my first complete necklace in wire wrapping. i guess i'm satisfied with it. I love Jade, I think it's so classy looking. I used silver colored copper wire to wrap the 10mm Jade cabachon, I put a double chain on it because it is a rather heavy piece and i think the chain looks better like that anyway. There are some good articles on wire wrapping that I found quite helpful.
