Marketing....UUghh

I found this site this morning http://www.handmadenews.org/home/index.php
All kinds of good stuff in there. help with selling, techniques for photographing your work...it's got all kinds of good stuff in there

I sell my stuff on ArtFire http://www.artfire.com/users/SRobinsonDesigns and on ETSY http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=7525549&ga_search_query=slvrobin&ga_search_type=seller_usernames and on eBay but I don't get a lot of sales so I am trying to find ways of improving on that. Which is why im looking for websites like the one above.

Your stuff has to be seen. With ArtFire and Etsy the most recent posting appear on the main page but only for about 5-10 minutes. So, the way I figure, if you have a few things to post, don't do them all at once but maybe like one per hour. You are more likely to get noticed that way.

There is always advertising. Expensive if you are just starting out. Flyers can be done on your own computer. There is also a website called Vista Print. They will do 250 business cards for free (front only) and all you pay is the shipping. http://www.vistaprint.com/vp/welcome.aspx?xnav=welcomeback&rd=2 They have some nice designs.

Last, for today, link all your sites together...the social networks are good for spreading the word..good luck to you and me...
